Chye Seng Huat Hardware is no stranger to coffee lovers. The compound was formerly a hardware store as the name implies, taken over by the people behind renown Papa Palheta and Loysel’s Toy. I like it that they made the internal decor of the old shophouse contemporary.
This place is perpetually crowded but do not worry, there are no queues that snake out of the compound though a short wait is common. Coffee is very good. All sorts of brewing methods are available as they have an experimental “lab” called The Annex as well as a coffee school. In addition, there is The Roastery and The Workshop. Pretty interesting place!
For the food, desserts were so so, chicken meatballs were yums!
Very cool and happening place – a coffee-lover’s dream!
