Providore is a local brand that is committed to providing real food that is wholesome, nourishing and innovative. They collaborate with those passionate about food to create this brand.

They have retail stores (groceries and deli) and cafes at Mandarin Gallery (Orchard road), Tan Boon Liat Building (Outram road), Pasarbella (Bukit Timah) and Tangs (Orchard road).

Decor at the Mandarin Gallery cafe was cosy and spacious, especially loved the chair which looked spring loaded and very retro. This is a good cafe situated in the middle of Orchard road to chill and rest tired feet from shopping.

It was a day where we had lunch but was still craving for something more satisfying, and so Providore it shall be…

We tried the lobster Mac & cheese which was really delicious! Chunks of lobster, rigatoni pasta, smooth cream cheese sauce, fennel and dill made this so enjoyable and not too rich. The portion was a little too small though. 7.5/10

Strawberry shortcake was average. The sponge was a little dry and over baked as it looked very browned. Overall it still tasted alright. 6/10

Coffee was good though, we had iced americano and flat white. 7.5/10

06 Oct 2014 – tried the yummy vanilla lace which is vanilla bean ice cream sandwiched in almond lace cookies. (Pat and Stick’s – an Australian brand of home made ice cream sandwich. 7.5/ 10

Fresh avocado milkshake made with Providore gelato and fresh milk was so smooth and creamy! 7/ 10
