Kitchen Table @ W Sentosa Cove

We were excited to be invited to a dinner buffet at the upmarket and hip W Hotel Sentosa.

The exterior of the hotel with the huge W and water feature in the middle of a roundabout looked impressive. The interior was really hip, huge plush seats, chandeliers, purple and blue lights, woobar and music, you know you’re at W!

The Kitchen Table is a level below the lobby, facing the Skirt restaurant known for their steaks (hoping to try Skirt soon). Kitchen Table’s lighting was warm with wooden tables and chairs, chandeliers and a very nice outdoor seating area made it really cosy.

After looking through the spread, we were really hungry. There were salads, Japanese, Indian, continental, made to order pasta and Asian. There was a chocolate fountain, fruits, cookies, cakes and flan at the dessert station.

We loved the salad bar for its variety. Smoked chicken salad and rocket salad were good with different dressings. Cheese board was also good as I love their oatmeal biscuits. Skip the smoked salmon, tasted like raw salmon without any smokiness.

Indian section – Chole (chickpeas) dish was delicious but a little too salty on its own, great with naan. Do ask for their naans as they were not displayed.

Skip the sushi as the rice was hard, tasted like they have been prepared hours before. Sashimi was alright though the cuts looked quite badly sliced.

Made to order pasta was good. They had a special home made pasta which looked like red fettuccine, forgot wat it was made with. I added mine with mushrooms, chorizo, sundries tomatoes and olive in a tomato base. Then we tried a creamy version with penne, chorizo, artichoke and was also yums!

Dessert – loved the plum flan, black forest cake and banana raisins crumble

Price person – $65++ (recommended if you have the sip and indulge membership for a minimum of 25% discount)

Sorry about the sushi, I know what you mean, I hate when it feels like it was prepared for a long time, sushi is better when freshly prepared ๐Ÿ™‚
