One thing about Penang which I love (other than food) is the rich culture and heritage. Read more about it here.
Today is all about exploring the culture of Penang. Before we start our adventure, it’s brunch time! Hokkien mee (prawn noodle soup) is the choice on today’s menu. So we headed to KTG cafe on Lorong Selamat (Penang food hunt part 2 – stop 1 otah wings). The prawn noodle (usually comes in yellow mee plus beehoon but as I don’t really like yellow noodles, had mine with all beehoon). The piping hot bowl came with some chili, sliced prawns, pork, egg with lots of beansprouts and some kang kong and fried shallots. It was a satisfying bowl of yummy goodness and not too heavy to start the day!
We then went on a hunt for their street art which started off with a project called Mirrors George Town by George Town Festival 2012. Street art have been everywhere since then. While exploring George Town, you will come across some of them.
1st stop – Jalan Magazine
2nd stop – Lebuh Ah Quee

Just beside this painting, there is Ming Xiang Tai (Penang food hunt part 2 – stop 2) which you can stop for a break, have some egg tarts, duck egg pao and herbal teas.
