On a weekends, we sometimes explore various parts of Singapore on foot. That’s when we find out interesting things about Singapore which we do not usually know or see. This time, we explored part of the Southern Ridges in the late afternoon and then off to Meiling Food Centre for some yummy dinner…
We started at Hortpark which is a haven for plant loving folks located at 33 Hyderabad Road. Our trail included the Alexandra Arch, Forest Walk and Hilltop Walk, to the Henderson Waves and back to Hortpark. A total of about 5km. It was a very relaxing and shaded walk.
On the Henderson Waves, some indication on the wooden flooring indicating how high we were standing.
It took us about 1.5hr to complete the walk back to Hortpark. From there it was a short drive to Meiling Food Centre. We had hotpot, seafood horfun and chicken rice for dinner. Everything was delish! Hotpot was a healthy option after a workout. Horfun had wok hei and the plate of chicken rice although not so healthy was shared among 4 of us.
Other interesting walks we went on include
Exploring Changi
National Museum
Penang Food Hunt
And many more….
Wonderful exploration! 🙂 xx
