Ghent, Belgium

Ghent is a beautiful city, which will take anyone’s breath away. Hopefully the photos below will convince you but I was really immersed in the beauty, friendly people, culture, architectures around me.

Ghent is very rich in history, religion and culture. From 1000 to 1500, Ghent was one if the most important cities in Europe. It is larger than London and second to Paris in size.

However, Ghent lost it’s access to the sea and it’s population halved in 16th century only to pick up 2 centuries later.

It is now under the Dutch rule.
