5 reasons why I love Cambridge

The last time I was in Cambridge was about 3 – 4 yrs ago. It was a huge contrast to London and that’s why I love it!

The top 5 reasons why Cambridge is lovable (my perception):
1. Peaceful and serene
2. Full of architectural and historical flavors (e.g the university and the city center)
3. Lots of gardens to explore
4. Friendly people
5. Quaint and safe little town

Food had been pretty decent too!

I’ve never had enough time to explore Cambridge much but a day or 2 extra should allow us to cover most attractions. That is if you are not too keen to read or know the history of each building or attraction and just see and go. Otherwise a week to explore the city would be just about right.

At madingley hall, we were took on a tour of the building and it was interesting knowing the history of the building structure, who owned it, what was the dining hall before, went up to the attic (with a lot of drawings and carvings on the wall) which we had to climb a steep flight of Turret Stairs, what the dog hole was before (where men left their dogs before they proceed to the attic).

Cambridge can be reached by train, bus or car from heathrow airport. There is also stansted airport which is nearer to Cambridge. More information can be obtained from here
