It’s relax/ chill day… Time to visit the Shiro-hige’s for some lovely cream puffs!
We had a quick lunch of some good sushi, then headed to Setagaya-Daita to get some totoro cream puffs. It’s a lovely place and there was a cafe, so if you plan to head there for lunch and dessert, be there early. We arrived before 1pm on a weekday and there was a queue.
Came back to the hotel lounge to chill before heading to Tokyo station for more yummy foods and shopping! There is a daimaru (JR Yaesu north exit) which houses many different brands of food. Restaurants and omiyage (souvenir) stalls were ample at Tokyo station. I’m always spoilt for choice when I’m there cos everything look so good and I can’t buy or try everything.
Headed for Tokyu hands, which housed many interesting stuff ranging from household, DIY experiment kits, instant foods, crafts, etc… Nice place to check out cool stuffs and gadgets.
Dinner was at shin marunouchi building – Suju Dining. Nice izakaya but menu wasn’t extensive. We ordered 5 dishes and sake. Here’s what we ordered (my favorite was tori shioyaki):
– masumi karakuchi sake
– jyaga bata (potato topped w butter & special soy beans)
– gindara misoyaki – skin is charred but its their signature (remove skin)
– nasu hasami – deep fried minced meat & eggplant sandwiches
– inaka ni – stewed chicken & root vege
– tori shiro yaki – grilled chicken w salt
Japan is so beautiful !!! 🙂
