The trip started with a nice dinner at the Qantas Business Lounge. This time they offered pretty tasty roast pork buns with tangy savory dressing and Singapore’s national favorite, chicken rice which was also delicious. The Sauvignon blanc matched the 2 dishes very well as it was light and refreshing, cuts the richness of the pork and rice.
Onboard the A330 business class… Fitted with seat padding and quilt, fully flat bed, generous legroom…
Amenities include Kate spade pouch with aspar lotions, lip balm and face cream. Eye masks, ear plugs, toothbrush and toothpaste provided. Peter morrissey’s PJs for every passenger.
The food from Neil perry was quite disappointing and nothing to shout about. They do not have enuf servings for all passengers as well. Shame!
The quinoa warm salad came with overcooked salmon but the poached egg with runny yolk was a saving grace. Before arrival, the baked egg dish was a little dry but I did enjoy the fruits and yoghurt bowl, could have 2 serves! Gewurtztraminer was recommended by the flight steward and it was good!
Arrival at the Sydney Kingsford airport, ample shopping area and cafes all around.
The lounge and breakfast… Prefer the qantas Lounge in Melbourne due to the more cosy feel, thereby more exclusive.
On the return leg, the food onboard… Liked the taste of the roast chicken and the cauliflower soup was delicious with the basil pesto. Before arrival into Singapore, we were served some prawn fried rice which looked meh… But so tasty and savory! Chocolate tart went well with the fruits to cut the richness.
More happenings in Sydney coming up in the next post…
